Can the Subscription Be Paused?

While we don't currently offer the option to pause a subscription, you can always cancel your subscription (such as during the summer) and restart it when you're ready. There's no penalty for canceling or resubscribing. However, please be aware that teachers may adjust their rates, so the original price cannot be guaranteed when you return.

This flexible approach gives you complete control over your learning schedule, allowing you to take breaks during vacations or busy periods without being locked into a long-term commitment. To cancel your subscription, navigate to your Dashboard and locate your active subscription under the "My Subscriptions" section. Click the cancellation button and confirm your decision. The subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing period, ensuring you receive all lessons you've already paid for.

When you're ready to resume lessons, simply visit the teacher's profile page and select a new subscription plan. The teacher will appear in your saved teachers list, making it easy to find them again. Most families use this cancel-and-restart approach for summer breaks, extended vacations, or when transitioning between school semesters. If you communicate with your teacher about your planned break, they can often hold a spot for you in their schedule and notify you when they're ready to welcome you back. Some teachers offer special returning student rates or maintain pricing for loyal students who took breaks, though this is at the teacher's discretion rather than a platform guarantee.
