You can contact any of our tutors by clicking the "Contact" button on either the tutors' list page or the tutor detail page.

Messaging teachers before booking is a great way to discuss your learning goals, ask about their teaching style, confirm their availability, or request a free trial lesson to see if they're a good fit.

The tutor will get back to you within 24 hours or as soon as possible. While interfacing with the tutor, you can provide the tutor with detailed information on your student's background or propose a course of study. In most cases, the tutor will be using our award-winning Russian Math BYOM program. Other programs such as the Common Core or LMS are also available.  The platform messaging system keeps all your conversations organized in one place, and you'll receive email notifications when teachers reply to your messages. This initial conversation helps both you and the teacher determine if there's a good personality match and if the teacher's expertise aligns with your student's specific needs and grade level.

Good questions to ask teachers before booking include inquiring about their experience teaching your child's current grade level, their familiarity with specific math topics like geometry, algebra, or competition preparation, their typical homework policy and availability for answering questions between lessons, and whether they can accommodate specific learning needs like visual learning styles or ADHD. Many parents also ask about the teacher's lesson structure - do they focus on conceptual understanding, problem-solving practice, or a balanced mix of both? Understanding these details upfront helps ensure you select a teacher whose approach matches your educational goals.

The messaging interface shows your full conversation history with each teacher, making it easy to reference previous discussions about scheduling, curriculum choices, or student progress. You can attach documents or images to messages, which is helpful for sharing diagnostic test results, homework problems you'd like the teacher to review, or sample work showing your student's current skill level. The system prevents sharing of direct contact information like phone numbers or external email addresses to maintain platform security and ensure all communication remains protected by the platform's dispute resolution system.

After booking lessons with a teacher, the messaging system becomes your primary communication channel for lesson coordination, rescheduling requests, homework questions, and progress updates. Teachers often use messages to share lesson summaries, homework assignments, or recommendations for additional practice resources. You can access your messages from the main navigation menu at any time, and the platform highlights unread messages with notification badges so you never miss important communications from your teachers.
