How to Find a Teacher Near You?

RMT is now supporting teachers/tutors who can visit you at home or meet at another location within a 30-mile radius of your home. You can easily find these tutors by clicking the "Offline Sessions" toggle switch on the "Find A Teacher" screen and clicking the "Detect my location" button to find all teachers whose home or office is within the 30-mile radius of your current, geo-located position.

This feature is perfect for families who prefer in-person instruction or want to combine online and offline lessons with the same teacher. In-person lessons can be particularly beneficial for younger students who may have difficulty focusing during video sessions, or for hands-on learning activities like manipulating math tools and working through problems together on paper. Teachers offering offline sessions typically specify their travel preferences, whether they can come to your home, meet at a library or coffee shop, or prefer students come to their location.

Alternatively, you can type the address manually and select from the choice of locations retrieved from Google Maps. The search results will display teachers sorted by distance from your location, showing how many miles away each teacher is. Keep in mind that teachers may charge additional travel fees for offline sessions, which are separate from the base lesson rate and are negotiated directly between you and the teacher.
