Why Don't I See a Cancel or Reschedule Button on the Lesson Card?

Individual, 1:1 lessons can only be canceled or rescheduled up to six hours prior to lesson time. If you don't see either button, there are less than six hours left until the lesson start time. However, in some instances, you may be able to make special arrangements with the teacher if the teacher can see your message in time. Group lessons can only be canceled or rescheduled by the teacher.

Please keep in mind that some teachers live overseas in different time zones and they may be preparing for the lessons the night before.

The six-hour cutoff protects teachers who have already invested time preparing lesson materials, reviewing student notes, and blocking their schedule for your lesson. If an emergency arises within the six-hour window, contact your teacher immediately through the platform messaging system to explain the situation—many teachers will voluntarily agree to reschedule if they can accommodate your request. The lesson card will display a countdown timer showing how much time remains before the cancellation window closes, helping you plan ahead. After a lesson is completed, buttons change to allow you to rate the teacher, report issues if problems occurred, or purchase additional lessons from the same teacher.
