You can find our FREE Build Your Own Math eBooks and workbooks here. This page can also be accessed from the main menu under Resources > Russian Math Workbooks. Since Russian math is quite challenging, we recommend using books 1-2 grades below your student's current grade level, depending on their mathematical strength.

The recommendation to use workbooks 1-2 grades below your child's current level is important because the Russian Math approach covers topics at greater depth and complexity than traditional American curriculum. A 5th grader in standard American math might find the Russian Math 3rd or 4th grade workbook appropriately challenging. This doesn't reflect on your child's abilities - it simply acknowledges the different pedagogical approach and advanced problem-solving strategies emphasized in Russian Math.

When selecting the appropriate workbook level, consider your child's comfort with mathematical concepts rather than their classroom grade. If they excel in math and enjoy challenging problems, you might start with just one grade below. If they're building confidence or new to Russian Math methodology, starting two grades below provides a gentler introduction to the unique problem-solving techniques and visual models used in this approach.

The free eBooks are available in PDF format and cover kindergarten through 6th grade. Each workbook contains comprehensive practice problems, step-by-step examples, and visual representations that help students develop deep conceptual understanding. These materials complement the live instruction provided by teachers on the platform and can be used for homework, additional practice, or independent study during school breaks.
