Will I Receive Lesson Reminders by emAIl or SMS?

Yes. You will receive 24-hour and half-hour email reminders prior to the lesson. 

In addition, you can set your phone number in the Account Settings and "Account Settings > Send SMS Reminders" to receive SMS reminders. Only half-hour SMS reminders will be sent. These reminders help ensure you never miss a scheduled lesson with your teacher.

The email reminder system is automatic and requires no setup. Every scheduled lesson triggers two reminder emails: one sent 24 hours before the lesson starts, giving you advance notice to prepare, and another sent 30 minutes before the lesson begins as a final prompt to join the virtual classroom. These emails include the lesson details, teacher name, scheduled time in your timezone, and a direct link to join the classroom when it's time.

SMS reminders provide an additional layer of notification, which many families find helpful since text messages are often noticed more quickly than emails. To enable SMS reminders, navigate to your Account Settings page from the main dashboard menu. Enter your phone number in the designated field, ensuring you include your country code. Then toggle the "Send SMS Reminders" option to the on position. Remember that you'll only receive the 30-minute SMS reminder, not the 24-hour advance notice, to minimize text message volume.

After configuring your SMS settings, always scroll to the bottom of the Account Settings page and click the "Save Changes" button. This is a common oversight that prevents SMS reminders from activating. Once saved, you'll receive a confirmation message, and your phone will start receiving text reminders 30 minutes before each scheduled lesson. Standard text messaging rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan, so check with your provider if you're concerned about potential charges.

Please make sure to set your phone number when enabling SMS reminders. Also, don't forget to click the "Save Changes" button on the bottom of the screen, after making changes to the account settings.
