No, we do not recommend exchanging your personal information with your student. The RMT platform will block sensitive information in messages for your security and privacy. You will see BLOCKED in places where phone numbers, URLs, or emails are sent. This protection helps prevent fraud and ensures all communications remain on the secure platform where they can be monitored for quality and safety.
This policy protects both teachers and students from potential scams, harassment, and payment disputes by keeping all interactions within the platform's secure messaging system where our support team can assist if issues arise. The platform provides all the communication tools you need including real-time messaging, file sharing for homework and resources, and integrated video lessons, so there's no legitimate need to move conversations off-platform. Staying within the system also ensures that payment processing remains secure through our verified payment gateway, lessons are properly documented for both parties, and any technical issues or disputes can be resolved with complete message history available to our support team for fair resolution.
The automated blocking system uses pattern recognition technology to identify and filter phone numbers, email addresses, and web URLs in all text communications before they reach the recipient. This filtering applies universally across platform messages, lesson notes, and any other text input fields to maintain consistent security. If the system detects these patterns multiple times from the same account, it triggers escalating warnings and eventually account suspension to prevent circumvention attempts.
If you try to pass personal information such as email or URL address too many times, we will deactivate your account.
