If the lesson cannot take place because of a no-show or a technical issue, the teacher has an opportunity to reschedule the lesson no more than 6 hours after lesson completion. If the time has expired, and the teacher can no longer reschedule the lesson, then the student will have to report an issue and the teacher will resolve the issue by selecting the Reset and Unschedule Lesson option. This will reset the lesson so that either the teacher or the student can reschedule it, again. Makeup lessons maintain the same lesson duration and subject as the original scheduled lesson to ensure continuity.
The 6-hour window gives you time to address immediate issues like temporary internet outages or unexpected emergencies while the lesson is still fresh in both parties' minds. After the lesson appears in your completed lessons list, you'll see a reschedule button that remains active for the full 6-hour period. Common reasons for makeup lessons include student no-shows without advance notice, technical problems with the video platform that prevented the lesson from taking place, or power outages that interrupted the session. When you reschedule the makeup, the platform automatically finds a mutually available time slot based on your availability settings and the student's preferences, ensuring the makeup lesson fits both schedules without creating conflicts with other scheduled lessons.
