Let's say a student has already purchased a lesson or a package of lessons in one subject, but they want to have a few classes in a different subject. If the lesson price in the new subject is the same or lower, then you can suggest using the original subject for the lesson (there is no bearing on the accounting). However, if the 2nd subject's price is much higher, you can suggest purchasing more lessons for the 2nd subject.
Also, if the subject the student wants to study is not on the subject list, please contact the administrator, and we will add it to the subject list.
Please note that if two siblings want to study the same subject with the same teacher, they must either have different accounts or use a different subject on the same account. Otherwise, the platform cannot differentiate between the two students and they will both end up using the same whiteboard room.
This flexible subject-switching approach accommodates students who want to explore multiple areas or need occasional help in different subjects without purchasing entirely new lesson packages. Common examples include a student primarily studying algebra who needs a few geometry sessions for an upcoming test, or a physics student wanting help with the related calculus concepts. When teaching under a different subject label for accounting purposes, simply communicate with the student beforehand so they understand why the lesson appears under their original subject in the system. Teachers can teach any subject they're qualified to instruct regardless of which subject label the lesson carries in the platform, as long as pricing is appropriately handled. For substantial subject changes or ongoing instruction in multiple subjects, purchasing separate lesson packages ensures clear accounting and allows proper pricing differentiation between subjects that may have different hourly rates.
