Would Lessons Be Canceled If I Remove My Time Slots?

Removing your time slots in your Availability or Weekly Schedule tab does not cancel or unschedule a booked lesson. It simply prevents other learners from booking new lessons. This gives you control over your teaching schedule without affecting your existing commitments to current students.

A scheduled lesson remains booked until either the tutor or the student unscheduled or cancels it.  If you need to remove a specific booked lesson, you must manually cancel or unschedule it through the lesson card in your dashboard. Unscheduling a lesson returns it to an unscheduled state where it can be rescheduled later, while canceling refunds the lesson to the student's wallet.

This feature is particularly useful when you need to temporarily close your schedule for new bookings, such as during exam periods, holidays, or when you've reached your maximum student capacity. Teachers often remove time slots when they want to focus exclusively on their current students without accepting new clients. You can selectively remove specific time slots while leaving others available, allowing you to control exactly when new students can book. When you're ready to accept new bookings again, simply add those time slots back to your availability calendar, and the system will immediately display them to students searching for teachers.
