How Do Group Classes Complete and Renew?

Group classes on our platform have an automatic completion and renewal system designed to keep popular classes running while giving students time to enroll.

The 1-Week Enrollment Window

After a group class starts, students have a 1-week window to sign up and join the class. This enrollment period allows late enrollments while ensuring all students start within a reasonable timeframe of the class beginning.

Automatic Class Completion

Exactly 1 week after the class start date, the system automatically marks the class as "completed" and removes it from the public class listings. This happens regardless of whether students enrolled or not.

Automatic Renewal for Popular Classes

Classes that have enrolled students are automatically renewed to continue serving those students and attract new enrollments:

• Classes with students: Automatically cloned to create a new class session with future dates
• The new class inherits all the details from the original (title, description, syllabus, pricing, etc.)
• Enrolled students remain connected to their original class session
• The new class appears in public listings for new student enrollments

Postponement for Classes Without Students

Classes that don't have any enrolled students within the 1-week window are automatically postponed:

• The class start date is moved forward by 2 weeks
• The class remains available for student enrollment at the new date
• This gives the class another opportunity to attract students

Renewal Time Limits

To keep our class catalog current and relevant, there's a 3-month time limit on automatic renewal:

• Only classes that started within the last 3 months are eligible for renewal
• Older classes are not automatically renewed, even if they had students
• Teachers can manually create new sessions for older class topics if there's continued interest

For Teachers

This automatic system means you don't need to manually recreate popular group classes - the platform handles it for you. Focus on teaching great classes, and if students enroll, the class will automatically continue with new sessions.

For Students

If you're interested in a group class, try to enroll as soon as possible. While you have up to 1 week after the class starts to join, enrolling early ensures you don't miss any content and helps the teacher know there's interest in continuing the class.
