The method is implemented in the course. It allows for organizing full math activities. They cover all course sections. This includes acquiring new knowledge, changing it, and using it. The activities cover all three modeling stages. These stages are:
The stage of mathematizing reality, that is, constructing a mathematical model of a certain fragment of reality.
The stage of studying the mathematical model, that is, constructing a mathematical theory that describes the properties of the constructed model.
The stage of applying the obtained results to the real world.
Students build math models to describe real-world objects and processes. They also explain phenomena and check relationships.
Then, they learn to use math terms and think logically and creatively. They solve equations, find properties, and draw conclusions. They learn to represent data visually and follow and create algorithms.
Next, they apply math skills to solve problems. They practice mental and written math. They solve simple algebra problems and draw shapes. They follow and make algorithms. Also, they work with diagrams, tables, and graphs. They learn to analyze and explain data. Finally, they improve their math communication.
