RMT Advantages over RSM

RMT is a small company dedicated to Quality Online Learning in Math and other STEM subjects. Because of our small size, we have the time and the resources to provide the best-customized education and service for all our students. Our BYOM program is designed especially for small group classes and is conducted in the style of a Math Circle. This is why even our Group Classes are never more than 3-4 students in size. With small classes, the teacher can dedicate more time to each student and provide direct feedback on their progress.

Furthermore, our services are much more flexible than those of RSM, because students can schedule and postpone lessons, cancel lessons, and receive credit for canceled lessons. Unlike in the RSM school, students have the flexibility of selecting not only the time and place where they want to learn but also how they want to learn as well as with which teacher. Students can communicate with their teacher at any time, even outside of lesson hours, by using the platform’s built-in message system. Unlike RSM, which keeps its program materials a secret and hidden from the public, RMT shares its materials openly on the public website.

But the most significant difference distinguishing our program from those taught at RSM and other Russian Math Schools is the concept of "Build Your Own Math.” This activity-based teaching method in the course allows for organizing comprehensive mathematical activities for students in studying all course sections. These activities involve acquiring new knowledge, transforming it, and applying it, encompassing all three stages of mathematical modeling.

In constructing mathematical models, students gain experience using mathematical knowledge to describe objects and processes in the surrounding world, explain the causes of phenomena, and assess their quantitative and spatial relationships. While studying the mathematical model, they develop mathematical language, logical, algorithmic, and creative thinking. They learn to investigate and identify properties and relationships, visually represent the obtained data, and construct and execute algorithms.

Our private lessons cost about $30, on average, whereas most RSM private lessons start at $80/per lesson.
