An Enthusiastic and Incredible Patient Tutor
I am a born teacher, currently homeschooling my gifted children as well as teaching at a liberal arts college. I grew up in Argentina, and I still recall my 5th grade math class, whose teacher decided to "try something new" and taught us using a textbook based on set theory. It is probably when I truly fell in love with math, and the interest never went away. Now, besides tutoring, I teach enrichment classes for homeschoolers that include topics in number theory and knot theory among others, and I share my passion for math and science with my children.
I enjoy tutoring because it gives me the chance to personalize my teaching, taking my cues from my students and their interests. I like that I can change the pace, slowing down when things don't make sense for them, and flying through the fun stuff, but perhaps lingering on the truly fascinating.
