With a Master’s degree in Mathematics, a teaching certification for grades 6-12, and extensive experience as a math educator, I am excited about the opportunity to tutor for Russian Math Tutors. Throughout my career as an educator, I have been dedicated to breaking down complex mathematical concepts into easily digestible lessons. As an IB Mathematics Instructor at Sarasota Military Academy, I developed and implemented a two-year curriculum for IB Math Studies, covering subjects such as Algebra I, II, Trigonometry, Statistics, and Pre-calculus. I prioritized critical thinking and problem-solving skills, preparing students for an internationally administered exam, which resulted in 92% of students passing. I also designed curriculum and lesson materials for high school math courses at Booker High School, employing innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and success. In addition, I have over 5 years of intensive both virtual and in person tutoring experience in all levels of mathematics as well as in helping students to prepare for SAT/ACT tests.
